Ritual cleansings are the primary source of healing in Vodou. Fresh green herbs, sacred essential oils and clean water are all combined into a personal signature for you. NO two people are the same, and so the bath used to cleanse, correct and align them should not be either.
We create your personal signature scent on the Pwen ( the “point” ) of the Lwa who is best directed to engage and resolve your challenges or troubles. Mambo Vye Zo does a reading to determine which Lwa will come forward to help you. Based on her extensive knowledge of herbs and her training in aromatherapy, she crafts a unique scent and bath exclusively for you.
With fresh herbs, clean essential oils (many of which she distills herself) and purified water, Mambo Vye Zo creates a unique fluid conductor that brings the ashe of the Lwa directly to you on a personal level.
Ritual cleansings can be done one-on-one with just yourself, Mambo Vye Zo and two of her hounsi assisting. For private work, or issues of a delicate nature, this is the best solution.
For truly tough challenges or to receive the full ashe of the Lwa, we then recommend that the Lave take place within the sacred arena of a Vodou ceremony. With the entire sosyete singing, the drums playing, and Mambo Vye Zo at the lead, you will gain the power of the group as well as the Lwa’s blessing for your cleansing and healing.
Solo bathes are $450.00. This includes the reading to determine the pwen of the work; all the materials (herbs, oils, perfumes and waters) to craft the bath; bottled hydrosols of the bath to take home for further use; detailed explanations of further practices to keep the ashe of the bath working.
Ceremonial bathes are an overnight affair. You will be cleansed during the Lwa’s fet, with the full sosyete in partnership; the reading to determine the Lwa; ll the materials (herbs, oils, perfumes and waters) to craft the bath; bottled hydrosols of the bath to take home for further use; detailed explanations of further practices to keep the ashe of the bath working; your overnight in the temple; breakfast and additional details for keeping the work going when you return home. A cleansing of this caliber is $750.00.
